Below is an example of an acrostic poem about a butterfly. Try to create your own acrostic poem at home about a mini beast of your choice. Start by writing the name of the mini beast down the side of the paper. Each line must include something you know about the mini beast you have chosen.

Try to use adjectives, adverbs and conjunctions in your poem.
