Y5 Carlton Residential

Y5 Carlton Residential

23rd November 2016

On Wednesday 23rd November, 25 excited Y5 children and 4 nervous Thorntree staff set off for Carlton, to embark on the 3-day residential trip. Waving goodbye to relieved parents outside of school, the bus set off, much to the joy of the children. Despite the long and winding journey, we arrived unscathed and ready for the challenge ahead. On arrival, the group were greeted by the Carlton instructors, who quickly led us to our rooms. Throughout the fantastic 3 days, the Y5 children (and staff) completed a range of exciting challenges that pushed their ability to the limit. The visit was excellent with the pupils showing exemplary behavior throughout. Staff and pupils had a wonderful time and wished there was more time to explore the surrounding picturesque village. Tired and exhausted, we returned to school on Friday 25th November, where the staff enjoyed a long awaited nap.
